What is microblading? Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that uses hair-thin strokes to provide a client with the optimal shape, color, density, and thickness of brows. This provides a very natural look compared to permanent cosmetics and/or tattooing.
How do you choose the brow design? We work together to find a shape that works for your face shape and hair color. You may also feel free to bring in pictures of eyebrows that you like. As for the color, I will test multiple shades to find the best one that fits you. I am also able to mix pigments to create a totally customized look. Lastly, the brow design will follow your natural hair patterns to provide you with brows that look natural and complimenting
What happens during my procedure? During your consultation we will discuss the treatment in its entirety and together decide on most complimentary shape, color, thickness, and density that the client wishes to have. We will then continue with the pre drawing process where I take care to draw out your new brow design with accuracy and precision. After your first round of numbing we then proceed with the microblading portion.
How long will my microblading last? This can vary from client to client. It can last from 12- 18 months with proper care. Medications, face products, sun exposure and skin condition can change the durability.
What is a touch up session? The touch up session is 4-6 weeks after the initial appointment. This is to allow the brows to heal as well as to give the client time to get adjusted to their brows. At the touch up session we will talk about if the client wishes to make any changes in regards to color, thickness, density etc. We will then touch up the brows according to those preferences.
What is a color boost? A color boost occurs anywhere from 6-14 months after the initial procedure. This is used to maintain your microblading over time and provide a refresher for your brows.
Does microblading hurt? A numbing cream is applied one time before the procedure and two more times during the procedure to ensure that it is a comfortable experience. You will feel slight pressure and might feel it as a little scratchy towards the end.
Who is NOT a good candidate for microblading? If you have lupus and it is not controlled by medication, diabetics, and women who are pregnant or nursing.
